by user Jordan LeDoux I came across an article today that put into perspective just why I think she would be an excellent leader: "I don't like to talk about last chances, but I do think it's the best chance that we have to help the Iraqis create the conditions, particularly in Baghdad, which has become the center of the sectarian violence, so that they can move on with their political process . . . I think, that American patience is thin. The president has said it to him. We have said it to any number of Iraqi leaders. But really, unless they make the decision to make the difficult decisions that they must, to be even handed, to take on Shiite death squads, just as they would take on Sunni death squads, then this is not going to succeed." Image:CondiRice.jpg Big words from what the left calls a lapdog of the President... she basically just stated very real benchmarks for failure of a policy that are possible contingencies... that's almost the last thing you want to do in politics, but guess what, it's reality. If the Iraq government can't step up and be impartial, then Bush's plan will fail. Period. She says it plainly and truthfully. I also find it insightful to warn other leaders that American patience is thin. Americans are at the same time very forgiving of irregularities and impossibly judging of chronic tendencies. If it's a condition instead of an event, Americans have very little patience. I really do hope she runs for President... __NOEDITSECTION__ From The Opinion Wiki, a Wikia wiki.
