Reginald Arthur Lay Carter (6 December 1886, Southwold, Blything, East Suffolk - 24 April 1949 in Cuckfield, Sussex) was a British cartoonist, who drew the first cover strip of the Beano, featuring Big Eggo. He was one of the original cartoonists, having drawn Big Eggo for 11 years until he died.
