In deathmatch games, unlike most others of its type there is no block or bar put to prevent the player from accidentially exiting the level. Though not always the case, the Exit Gate tends to have an invisible Teleporter on the top of its frame that teleports the player somewhere else in the level. However, the Exit Gates at the end of E4M5: Hell's Atrium and the start of E4M8: the Nameless City do not have a corresponding exit for the Teleporter, resulting in the player being dumped to the Console.
