Prior to 2375, she was on staff at the Tamarian liaison's office, where she worked to understand the metaphor-based language of the Children of Tamar. At the beginning of the Dominion War, she moved to work in cryptography, and was partnered with Terence Throckmorton. The two formed a strong professional partnership, as well as a personal one.
