Platinum Secret Rare is a TCG-exclusive rarity which debuted in and is currently exclusive to the 2014 Mega-Tins and the 2015 Mega-Tins. As its name implies, it features platinum-colored foil with the Secret Rare texture pattern in the same vein that Gold Secret Rare features gold foil with the Secret Rare pattern; however, for the 2014 Mega-Tins release, unlike Gold Secret Rare, the foil covers the entire card face with the sole exception of the card text box and the Attribute icon. From 2015 Mega-Tins, the foil started covering the Attribute icon as well. This rarity differs from Extra Secret Rare mainly due to the foil not covering the Attribute icon from the first releases and due to the fact that it doesn't cover the Pendulum Scales icons.
