Ruyangosaurus is an extinct genus of sauropod dinosaur recovered from the Mangchuan Formation in China. The type species is R. giganteus, described in 2009 by a group of scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Henan Geological Museum. The discovery of Ruyangosaurus indicates that a higher diversity of sauropod dinosaurs occurred during the early Late Cretaceous than previously thought.
