The DUW Australian Championship was a mid-tier title in Down Under Wrestling. The championship's history can be traced back to the FBW Trans-Tasman Championship from Future Bebo Wrestling. On May 31, 2015, the championship (referred to as the OWA European Championship at the time) was unified with the DUW Trans-Tasman Championship at When Worlds Collide, when Trans-Tasman Champion Jeff Palmer defeated European Champion Trip Johnson. Palmer decided to keep the European Title, rebranding it under the DUW banner. It would later become the DUW Australian Championship, to remain relevant to the company's geographical location.
