The Second Algerian Conflict was an armed conflict in 1980 between France and rebels in southern Algeria, lasting four months. The war ended with a decisive French victory, although it is today seen as the first of several international conflicts that would eventually culminate with France's disastrous invasion of Siam in 1990.
