Segremors is a German romance about Sir Sagremor, one of the knights of the Round Table who also appears in Wolfram von Eschenbach’s Parzival. The romance is transmitted in only three fourteenth-century fragments that depict Segremors’s search for Gawain; his leave - taking from his beloved; a magic isle ruled by a fay for whose love knights must engage in combat with her champion; a combat between the friends Segremors and Gawain. The romance is composed in rhymed couplets conjoined into sections that conclude on a rhyming triplet.
