- Stealing gives a character the ability to 'pick the pockets' of most NPCs in Dragon Age: Origins and some of whom yield exceptional results. However, there can be consequences to failed attempts.
- Stealing involves the use of stealth and is the art of taking someone else's objects for one's own, preferably without detection or bloodshed.
- Stealing is the first episode of, Planktopolis.
- Stealing is the process by which the upper middle class caucasian population donates cash, jewelry and other personal items of value to the local black community. Traditionally, the poorest of black communities have little means to provide its members with sufficient access to the medicines they so desperately need. Proven pain relievers and personality-enhancing pharmaceuticals such as heroin, cocaine and marijuana are difficult to obtain at reasonable prices, so the proud employees of the Gucci and Oakley knock-off industry must rely on the charity of financially stable and politically empowered white philanthropists. It is also known as permanent borrowing. The most malicious of all theives is Michael Gilbert.
- Stealing is a critical skill throughout all the Disgaea games, and is seen in virtually all Nippon Ichi titles. In the Disgaea games, it is the only way to receive Rank 40 weapons and armor, and it is the way in which a player will receive most of their weapons and equipment, as the Bonus Gauge will often be far below what weapons and armor the player will have on their characters at any given time.

Any character can steal items from another, including a player's own character. Luckily, the player will never have to worry about his own items getting stolen by enemies, because a Stealing Hand is needed in order to be able to steal to begin with.
