  • It reads as follows: "Though New Tristram and the fields surrounding it have been resetted over the years, the Highlands remain empty save for the crumbling ruins of Leoric's old outposts. The king built more than one watchtower in his paranoia but now they cannot even ward away goatmen and wild beasts. A tragedy, really. Abd al-Hazir
  • The Highlands is the fourteen level in Alternate Earth, taking place in Scotland. Traverse across the wide plains of the Scottish Highlands, and be sure to avoid the abundance of wild life, along with the Korath III citizens from Commander Keen 5. There are also grenade tanks and rebels who have seized control of the area. In the second room, you will require the use of Tessie, a friendly long-necked monster from Earthbound, to cross the River Etive. Expect some athletics, and more action! At the end is the flagpole, ending the stage.
  • The Highlands is an area in Borderlands 2. The town of Overlook is located here.
  • Visible on the game's map screen, the Highlands cover the north-west corner of the world. The Highlands are filled with wide open fields and ruins. Giant green trolls can be found pulling massive mobil prisons towards the main prison found in Great Megalith. From the Highlands, the Grand Kingdom lies to the north-west of the Highlands, The Outlands to the far south-west and Avalon is found to the more immediate west.
