* Open Wookieepedia:Quote of the Day/Archive.
* Cut the quote voting section for the desired quote from WP:QOTD.
* Find the first link following the current date that is still red. Click on it.
* Paste the quote (without the voting) into the empty page (whose title will look like this: [[Wookieepedia:Quote of the Day/31 2018]]). Replace with .

* We really need to discuss and establish some community approved rules for maintaining the QOTD page. At the moment, I am adding a quote to the queue when it recieves a total vote count of +10 (or more) and removing it from the page if it recieves a total of five negative votes. It is easier to maintain the page that way, but it requires that users actively vote against quotes that they don't like in order to get rid of them. Does anyone have any bright ideas?– 19:57, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
* Consider using a time limit instead of negative vote count. If a quote doesn't get to +5 after a some time period (a month?) it gets deleted or moved to a waiting list. This isn't perfect either. It'd require a date when a quote is added and people not messing with it. -Finlayson 02:34, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
* Yeah, that would work. I was trying to avoid using a timeout system because on such a large page it would be very difficult to maintain… But it might be the only solution.– 23:08, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

* Quick question, but why do some quotes just go off the quote page? The one I noticed was the Vergere Everything I tell you is a lie quote. It was on, had lots of votes, and now its gone Jaster 12:26, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
