- Infogrames is a French software publisher that published the original Airline Tycoon game in Germany in 1998. Founded in 1983 by Bruno Bonnell and Christophe Sapet, Infogrames owns Atari and is the publisher of the popular game Civilization III.
- In 2001, Infogrames bought Hasbro Interactive, and with that they acquired the rights to publish Hasbro's own franchises on PC and consoles. They also obtained the Thomas and Friends license at the time and the famous Atari banner. In 2003, all of Infogrames' publishing and development studios rebranded under the Atari banner. Infogrames remained as the company owning all the Atari studios until Infogrames Entertainment, SA was renamed Atari SA in 2009.
