  • The Great Battle Field is a vast flat plane that extends in the area north of the Temple of War in the Fissure of Woe. It is the site of countless and never ending battles between the Eternal army of Balthazar and the Shadow Army of Menzies. The Battle Field features two camps (seen at either end of the picture). The western camp (left in the picture) belongs to the Eternal army. There players can find the Eternal Weaponsmith, Kromril the Eternal and a priest. On the opposite side (right in the picture), is the Shadow Army camp where players can find the Priest of Menzies (only during the quest Army of Darkness). That camp, however, is guarded by two powerful Dragon Liches, one on each ramp. The Battle Field is littered with Palisades and skull piles and remnants of numerous battles. It is patrolled by the Skeleton Army, an army that does not bear allegiance to either side and seems to be formed of those who perished in the never ending battles. Since these skeletons are undead, both hammer wielding warriors (blunt damage does extra damage to skeletons) and especially smiter monks (as they do double damage to all undead) excel in this area. From the battle field, players can exit northeast to the Burning Forest, south to the Temple of War, southwest to the Tower of Courage or west and northwest to the Forest of the Wailing Lord.
