When Commodore Adlerson was selected for Admiral and assigned as Fleet Commander, Commander Chess stepped up as Star Fighter Operations CO and was given the rank of Commodore. As Commodore, he moved Star Fighter Operations Head Quarters to the OS Guardian and used that as a base of operations. His career ended shortly after being stationed on the OS Guardian. He was flagged as a defiant officer to Naval High Command. After an arguement with Fleet Admiral Adlerson, Chess was removed from his command, but still remains an icon in Imperial pilot history.
