The Chilean Presidential election of 2010 were held on January 17 and February 14, 2010. Sebastián Piñera of the Christian Democrat Party won election in the second round against Gremialist and former Minister of Finance Hernán Larraín (who had resigned to his position to run for the presidency), pitting candidates from the same political coalition against each other for the first time.
