  • Caleb N. Ginyard junior (January 15, 1910 - August 11, 1978) was born on January 15, 1910, in St. Matthew, South Carolina. He got the name Ginyard from his father, who was a slave in South Carolina where he got this name from his slave boss. Caleb started his singing career as one of the founders of the group the Royal Harmoney Singers in 1936. They worked for the Arthur Godfrey show in New York and later renamed their group name to the Jubalaires. After he left the Jubilaires he had been in the Dixieaires, the Du-Droppers, the Buccaneers, the 4-Loggers, the Baranovas, the Eternal Light and the Golden Gate Quartet. Caleb N. Ginyard junior died on August 11, 1978, in Basel, Switzerland, at the age of 68. He was married to Janie Elnora Ginyard Nee Flowers.
