| - The Battle of New Lexington was one of the major actions during the 2537 Mamore uprising. In the chaotic aftermath of the assault of by the SPARTAN IIIs of Alpha Company on the local United Rebel Front stronghold of Camp Lexington, fighters of the Mamorian Underground Army moved into the settlement, quickly overrunning the company of UNSC Army military police, who had been caught off-guard by the attack. As the MUA began to take control of the area, twenty SPARTAN-IIIs from Alpha Company and units of the local UNSC Army garrison were redirected to the town to retake it. Arriving in the late hours of January 2nd, the UNSC were hard-pressed to root out the MUA forces dug in and hiding among the city, in collapsed buildings, sewers, and any other hiding spots they could find. While the MUA's leadership were quickly killed or captured by nightfall on January 3rd, pockets of resistance continued to hold until January 8th, when, finally out of ammunition and supplies, they either slipped away into the countryside or surrendered to the UNSC forces. In the chaos, both sides unintentionally aided the survivors of the attack on Camp Lexington, as the ragged URF fighters, looking more like displaced civilians than soldiers, were left alone by the MUA and UNSC, allowing them to make their way out of the settlement to safety.
