The Government of Brazil, formally a Republic, was more or less politically unstable following the Second World war. With the US taking the preeminent Role in the world Brazil took a Back seat and had to deal with Fascism and Communism much in its own way. The Government of Brazil was a Parliamentary, Presidential Republic and Multiple political Parties. Following the Nuclear war the Government Reformed into a Federative republic under the same president and parliament but with more reigned in control and an ability to secure itself from any future issues following the Nuclear war.
