The 1997 Miller 400 was a Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup) event that occured at Michigan on 6.15.1997. Ernie Irvan won an emotional race, holding off Bill Elliott for the victory at the track that had nearly claimed his life two and a half years before. It would be Irvan's last win.
