  • During a downpour, Ranma and Genma come across the Mirror Mansion. An elderly gentleman warns them not to look into the Cursed Mirror, but through series of accidents Ranma breaks the seal and looks into the mirror. A copy then emerges from the mirror and begins to cause trouble for Ranma. When she discovers that Ranma is actually a guy, she falls in love with him. The gentleman from the mansion visits the Tendo dojo and gives them a special compact that can trap and subdue the copy until the seal is repaired. However, the compact falls into the copy's hands. They then attempt to retrieve the mirror, but in the process Akane gets trapped within. Ranma stages a rescue operation and Mirror Ranma follows him inside. They are eventually freed from the compact and Mirror Ranma decides to return to the Cursed Mirror, but not before Ranma accidentally breaks the seal and releases a male version of himself.
