abstract
  • The Angler Fish is a swimming monster found in pools of water Underground or in the Jungle after the Wall of Flesh has been defeated. The Angler Fish emits a small amount of light when seen in the environment. If the player is underwater, Angler Fish will move at an advanced pace. While the player is not in the water, they move at a normal speed. They can be considered Hardmode versions of Piranhas because they have low health, do decent damage and speed up when the player is sighted. In Expert Mode, the Adhesive Bandage has a 1% drop rate. Another item that is dropped by the Angler Fish is the Robot Hat. The Robot hat has a 0.2% chance to drop.

If you're quick, you'll be able to quickly kill the Angler Fish just by attacking that glowing ball. The boss also appeared in the video game The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, where it appears in Jabu Jabu's belly as a mini-boss. Rather than fighting it in the water, however, the fight will take place on land, where it'll jump around attacking you.
