Oftentimes, a group of Nurglings will carry a Herald of Nurgle aloft on a Palanquin — an ornate throne decorated with mouldering finery and decaying cushions. The surging of the tiny creatures propels the Palanquin at the dictates of their master — even into the midst of battle should he wish —where the Nurglings will bite and claw to defend the throne’s occupant with burbling enthusiasm. While a Palanquin may not be the swiftest form of transport, many a Herald of Nurgle is proud to ride upon one. From his lofty perch he can survey the disposition of Nurgle's forces and — more importantly - be seen to be of higher status than the hordes of Plaguebearers who shuffle about under their own power.[1a]
