Although fearsome in appearance, their damage is actually quite low. They can usually be safely ignored until their stronger allies are defeated.

It is considered more valuable due to its rarity and visual appeal. A good, often cheaper alternative to the Magic Sword. It has the same attack power, but one less shielding bonus.
