Although the Professional Anime Wrestling League has only been around for three years, there have been some big names who have won the PAWL World Championship. Some have only won it once, others on multiple occasions. Here's the history of the PAWL World Championship: 1) Tai Kamiya (1) - Became the first champion by winning a 20-Man Royal Rumble Match at Winner Take All. 2) Might Guy (1) - Won from Tai Kamiya in a Last Man Standing Match at The Heat Is On. Title stripped due to collusion between Naraku, Zelgadis Greywords, and Referee Kenichi Umi to rig the main event at Riot Area. 4) Tai Kamiya (2) - Won the vacant title in an Elimination Chamber Match at The Great Anime War also involving Davis Motomiya, Zelgadis Greywords, Matt Ishida, Might Guy, and Naraku. 5) Naraku (2) - Won from Tai Kamiya at Pain Unlimited. 6) Might Guy (2) - Won from Naraku in a Title vs. Career Hell In A Cell Match at Sweet Revenge. 7) Inuyasha (1) - Won from Might Guy in a Ladder Match at Soul Survivor. 8) Tai Kamiya (3) - Won from Inuyasha in a 20-Minute Ironman Match (3-2 in overtime) at Night of Anime Champions. 9) Seto Kaiba (1) - Won from Tai Kamiya at Night of Anime Champions after cashing in his Money In The Bank privilege. 10) Ginta Toramizu (1) - Won from Seto Kaiba in an Extreme Hardcore Match at Voltage 45. 11) Tai Kamiya (4) - Won from Ginta Toramizu in a Three Stages of Hell Match (2-1) at Ultimate Destiny. Title vacated due to injury. 12) Seto Kaiba (2) - Won the vacant title in a Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match at Bet On It with Matt Ishida, Might Guy, and Sora also involved. 13) Sora (1) - Won from Seto Kaiba in an Elimination Chamber Match at No Turning Back with Tai Kamiya, Matt Ishida, Might Guy, and Alphonse Elric also involved. 14) Kenshin Himura (1) - Cashed in his Golden Contract during the Ladder Match between Sora and Seto Kaiba at CAW Destruction Derby 2 to enter the match and win the title. 15) Alphonse Elric (1) - Won from Kenshin Himura in an Inferno Match at Natural Disaster. 16) Matt Ishida (1) - Won from Alphonse Elric in a 20-Minute Ironman Match (2-1) at Night of Stardom.
