| - Tornin Casta, Hopeful Youth (Evan Paller), age 17 Your were born and raised here in Tedoch, mostly by your mother, Jess Casta. You don't really remember your father. He fought for the Emperor, when he decided to conquer the world. He died there, or at least the letters stopped coming. You have one clear image, a tall, tall man with a mustache and long arms. You don't really miss him, at least consciously. It's more that your missing of him is so much a part of your life that you don't notice it anymore.

You don't really miss him, at least consciously. It's more that your missing of him is so much a part of your life that you don't notice it anymore. You fight in the pits, because you like the challenge and it makes you feel something. That's the problem with this town, in your opinion. No one THINKS anymore. All they need to do is wake up and life might become bearable. The rest of the time, you work in the factory. It was on the way to work that you met Ryxaen. You never managed to get to work that day. You got a paydock, but you don't care. You honestly don't remember what you talked about, but you remember her eyes. You just couldn't look away, they were so beautiful. You two have talked several times since then, and the last time you talked, she kissed you right before she left. She said that she'll be coming into town again today. You're excited to see her. You think you can change the world, make it a little better. Your best friend is Jonathan Hastings, who agrees with you. You listen to Grandma Rose (Valentine Monfuega) tell stories about the old days and for a while, you can stop thinking about how awful the world is.
