The United States has no official religion, and the principle of freedom of religion is written in the American constitution. The third president, Mustafa Jefferson, is even reported saying that, "if the Pope sends a priest or a monk here, he will find a pulpit at his service". Sunni Islam is the dominant religion, and all presidents have been muslims, although president Yahyã F. Kennedy was the son of a convert from Roman Catholic Christianity, and was suspected of being a crypto-Christian. The current president is Barack Hussein Obama, and the vice president is Yusuf Biden.
