Eddie Lacy (born January 1, 1991) is a college football player currently playing as the No. 1 running back for the 2012 Alabama Crimson Tide football team. During the 2011 regular season, his average of 7.5 yards per carry ranked first in the Southeastern Conference and sixth in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision. Eddie Lacy was named MVP of the 2012 SEC Championship Game after rushing for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Lacy was named Offensive MVP of the 2013 BCS National Championship Game after rushing for 140 yards and a touchdown, in addition to a receiving touchdown.
