She started learning Guitar at the age of 8, she met Daina Gilmore during primary and they became good friends, they spent a lot of time playing music when they were in Highschool. During 2012, the band released their first Live album, that was recorded in "The Answer WWT".

Later in 2001, alonside Gilmore, founded the nu metal band The Answer, later that year bassist Kelly Murray & Drummer Elizabeth Morrison joined the band, they first release was the album Songs for Ugly Children, due the album's negative reviews, she alongisde the rest of the band agreed to change the band's style incorporating a more Industrial/Electronic/Gothic sound, later in 2003 the band released their first EP entitled Clown , this EP recieved positive reviews and this lead the band to have further succes. Later in 2004 the band released their second studio album Truck , this album had the song "Number 6" that is inspired in lead vocalist cousin's life before he commited suicide, later they started a tour with the name "The Answer WWT" . In 2007 the band's self titled album was released. In 2011, the band released the EP "The Calling", the EP contained a Ghost Track, some releases of the EP entitled the song as "Caroline", when Taylor was asked about it, she replied saying that "It doesn't matter what does the song means, it doesn't bring us a good or sweet memory to our minds" During 2012, the band released their first Live album, that was recorded in "The Answer WWT".
