A large family of force-sensitives is believed to originate from the planet Dathomir. Following the ascension of their ancestor Zaltana, the family became known as being part of the Singing Mountain Clan, a warrior lightside clan located by the Singing Mountain on the planet. Throughout the generations, the family is said to have been associated with good magic alone, focusing strictly on Allyan magic and her laws, until the arrival of Satara Hawk, who despite what she was educated, chose to believe that the Force and their magic were connected due to the Jedi Knight before their first teacher that taught them how to channel their magic. She was the first member of the family to learn Force Powers, a legacy that has since then been passed down to her children and their children and so on.

She was the first member of the family to learn Force Powers, a legacy that has since then been passed down to her children and their children and so on. In this day and age, the Hawk family has dispersed throughout the galaxy, becoming not just Jedi but Sith as well. Perhaps the most know member is Ti'Cira D'Arr Hawk, a Dathomirian Witch that also become a Jedi Master and who is believed to have dropped a moon on Taris. Another well known family member is Rach Sullen, a Sith Master, who until recently wasn't even known to be a Hawk by blood. One of honorary family members is Ryori Holloway, a Jedi Master currently being considered for a position on the Jedi Council. The Family has kept their own magical tome through out the generations. It's unclear which family member began it but it was during Zaltana that expended a great deal through her training of numerous young Witches of the Singing Mountain Clan. Same as with the clan, the Hawk family has a great deal of issues with the Nightsisters clan, most notably due to the attack of the darksided clan on the Singing Mountain during which Hawk members such as Na'ala Hawk and her mate Kir D'Arr were killed and during which Curupira D'Arr Hawk was kidnapped. Since then, members have been discovered to be part of the darkside, such as Rach Sullen while others have turned as well, like Milan Hawk, Áine’ki D'Arr Hawk and Curupira D'Arr Hawk. Milan and Curupira have also taken darksiders as their mates. These changes bring a new millenion for the family, changes that cannot be overlooked.
