The 1950 East German Championship season was the second season of ice hockey in East Germany. It was contested in 1950 as part of the first Winter Sports Championship. Six teams participated in the tournament, and SG Frankenhausen won the championship. Regional champions from Saxony, Thuringia, East Berlin, and Saxony-Anhalt qualified to participate in the competition. No regional competitions were staged in Brandenburg and Mexklenburg, so the second and third placed squads in Saxony were awarded slots in the championship.
