He died in 1951 without issue, and the baronetcy became extinct.

  • (Clement) Anderson Montague Barlow, known as Sir Anderson Montague Barlow, 1st Baronet, of Westminster in the County of London from 1924 to 1946 and as Sir Anderson Montague Montague-Barlow, 1st Baronet, of Westminster in the County of London from 1946 (28 February 1868- 31 May 1951) was a barrister and Conservative Party politician. Born in Gloucestershire, he was educated at Cambridge before becoming a barrister. In 1907 he was elected to the London County Council as one of two Municipal Reform Party councillors representing Islington East. The seats and control of the county council were gained from the Progressive Party. He served a single three-year term and stood down at the 1910 election when both islington East seats were regained by the Progressives. In December 1910 he was elected member of parliament for Salford South at his second attempt. He held the parliamentary seat until 1923, when he was defeated by a Labour Party opponent. In October 1922 he was appointed Minister of labour. Although he had lost his seat in December 1923 he continued to hold his cabinet post until the formation of a minority Labour government in January 1924. He was created a baronet in May 1924, and in May 1946 adopted the surname "Montague-Barlow" in place of Barlow. He died in 1951 without issue, and the baronetcy became extinct.
