It is typically used to rush the enemies if there is no other means to get the team close enough to battle, as 480 damage is considerably easier to earn than the 600 of the Buff Banner. Generally, if a friendly Spy is in the range of the buff and backstabs a healthy enemy, he will have a large health boost as he will actually gain twice the amount of health as the person had when backstabbed, as 35% of 6 is about 2 and 2 times a classes's health is generally a lot. This will not overheal the Spy like the Conniver's Kunai nor will it stop any current negative affects such as Jarate or Bleeding.
