Jon: Yeah. You find Wingull everywhere in Hoenn. Drake: I think I’ll visit Hoenn one day and take on their island challenge. April: Alola is the only region which does the Island Challenge you know. Drake: What?! Jon: Yeah, every other region has 8 gyms and then a championship where everyone who have gotten badges battle it out to become champion of the competition. Drake: Oh, I see. Mary: How is it to battle in Gym battles? Jon: So amazing. The atmosphere is completely different to a normal battle and the gym leaders have the best strategies to make sure their challengers are thinking out of the box to win. Mary: Sweet. Jon: Who are they? April: They are Pikipek. Rotom-Dex: Pikipek, the Woodpecker Pokemon. Pikipek is a normal and flying type Pokemon. It can peck at a rate of 16 times a second to drill holes in trees. It uses the holes for food storage and for nesting. Jon: That’s fast. Mary: Grubbin! Jon: Grubbin huh? Rotom? Rotom-Dex: Grubbin, the Larva Pokemon. Grubbin is a bug type Pokemon. Its strong jaw enables it to scrape trees and slurp out he sap. It normally lives underground. Jon: Cool. Mary: Are you okay Jon? Jon: Yep. That was a String Shot and a half. Drake: They do attack like that sometimes. Jon: We need to save Litten! Mary: Litten? Mary: You could tell that was a Litten? Jon: Yeah. I’ve met one in Kalos. Hunter 1: Give us that Litten there! Jon: No way! Jon: Even Graveler has an Alolan form. Hunter 2: Drowzee, use Shadow Ball! Hunter 1: You are a pest aren’t ya! Jon: Now a Gumshoos. Mary: They are too scary and strong to beat. Jon: Not for us! Go if you want. Mary: I’m going to go and get the police. Jon: Take Litten with you. Jon: You’re staying? April: I’m here for moral support. Hunter 3: Seem like you have a witness to see you get pummelled. Jon: Nah, it’s the reverse. Hunter 1: Gumshoos, use Echoed Voice! April: Typhlosion! Jon: Typhlosion’s good. Now, Shadow Claw! April: Whoa! That was fast. Rotom-Dex: zzt Agreed. Typhlosion has more power and speed, zzt, than originally thought. Zzt. Hunter 3: Now Thunderbolt! Jon: Thunderbolt? Jon: Flamethrower! Hunter 2: It’s the police! Hunter 1: They have done nothing to us yet. April: Why do you hunt Pokemon? Hunter 1: There is no better living. Hunter 3: Grab Pokemon, sell them, and then we get some grub to eat. April: You guys are disgusting! Jon: You three haven’t ever been beaten have you? Hunter 1: No. Why do you ask that? Jon: Your over cocky. Now, Shuriken Blaze! Jon: Focus Blast! Jon: Shadow Claw! Jenny: Thank you for your co-operation. Jon: No problem. Drake: That was so cool how you beat them. April: Pretty hungry then. Jon: I hope you keep safe Litten. Let’s head back. I want more Malasada. April: I guess you’re hungry too. Jon: Huh? Mary: Litten doesn’t want you to go. Drake: I agree. April: What will you do? Jon: Do you want to travel with me Litten? Jon: Then you’re my first Alolan Pokemon! April: What type of Pokeball is that? Jon: It’s a Friend Ball. Considering this is our first step to becoming friends Litten, I thought this type of Pokeball would be a perfect fit. Jon: Yes! Jon: We got our first Pokemon in Alola Typhlosion! Typhlosion: Phlo! Drake: You both are happy. Jon: Of course! Catching a new Pokemon means more possibility on our adventures. April: Hehe. So, Malasada? Narrator: While having a nice day at the beach, Jon and his friends saw some Pokemon Hunters who were after a Litten. Jon protected Litten while Mary and Drake got some Police officers. After they were arrested, Litten decided to travel with Jon, making Litten his first Alolan Pokemon.
