- Saren Arterius was the main antagonist turned secondary antagonist in Mass Effect. He was working along side his Reaper flagship Sovereign. He is a Turian veteran member of the Spectres, the top operatives of the Citadel Council, who has always been known to be very brutal and ruthless, having little regard for life, and hates humanity, thinking that they should be lower in the hierarchy of galactic society.

He hates humanity and has gone far enough to attempt to blow up the Turian homeworld while he was drunk, and blame it on humanity. Fortunately he slipped in a puddle and forgot what he was doing.
