Starscream was once an Air Commander of Vos' air force. However an attack from the neighboring city Helex results in the destruction of Praxus, causing Starscream to become discharged for his failure, along with fellow squadmates Thundercracker & Skywarp. Some time later, the three were approached by former gladiator Megatron to join his ever-growing army of Decepticons to unite Cybertron, and Starscream would serve as his 1st Lieutenant. When the Great War started, Starscream started to question Megatron's actions. This spurred an orchestrated attempt to overthrow him and set the Decepticons on the path of redemption.
