Bart(バートBāto), stylized as BART, is a discontinued monthly Japanese visual perception magazine published by Shueisha from May 1991 to March 2000. Targeted to white-collar workers from 22 to 32 year of age, the magazine premiered in May 1991. The magazine initially had sluggish sales, and in 1997 Nobuhiko Horie, editor-in-chief of the Shueisha's popular Weekly Shōnen Jump, took over as editor of Bart. To revive the publication, Horie overhauled the magazine's layout and content, turning it into one of Japan's top selling men's magazines.
