The Beyonderbane was an infinitely powerful machine created by the arch-demon Mephisto in order to destroy the omnipotent alien known as the Beyonder, however in doing so the machine would ultimately destroy a massive chunk of the multiverse. This alongside the fact it was a creation of a demon many considered to be Satan made it a less than desirable solution even to the Beyonder.

Thankfully for all, the machine was ultimately destroyed before it could be activated, but shown the lengths Mephisto would go to try and stop the Beyonder - not out of any true love for creation but rather his own fears that Beyonder could damage his cosmic plans.
