When Laserra was only sixteen, her mother died unexpectedly; leaving her only daughter to deal with her wayward husband.

To put it lightly, she had a very rocky home life in her early years. Her mother supported her while her father often remained on the run, stopping by only on occasion to leech funds from his wife and leave the Sector Rangers trashing their apartment. When Laserra was only sixteen, her mother died unexpectedly; leaving her only daughter to deal with her wayward husband. Little did she know, Ixion had been formulating a plan all along; waiting patiently for Mineta to drop her guard. It was very fortunate for him that she had passed on, she could no longer offer any resistance to his underhanded schemes. In exchange for a clean slate, Ixion had decided to trade his daughter to a crime syndicate heavily involved with the Zeltron Monarchy. By the time she was eighteen, she was working as a Cafarel in a den of iniquity operated by the syndicate. She quickly came to realize that her purpose was not only to be the best that money could buy but to also pillage vital information from her clients; who mostly consisted of government officials of Zeltros and beyond. She became so good at this that the syndicate leader, Andrix, gained a soft spot for her and decided to grant her unerring freedom; if she promised to continue using her skills to better his business. She agreed without hesitation, longing to have such a life behind her even though it held certain appeal to her more base desires. She expressed to him her yearning to perform as her mother had and Andrix saw to her wish with flourish, building her a cabaret that rivaled all the famed establishments that lined the capital city's main strip. Men, women, and aliens flocked to see her shows and she became quite an acclaimed performer. She could dance, sing, implement mind boggling acrobatics into her routines, and still manage to effortlessly pry whatever information she needed from her doting audience. Not only that but Andrix taught her the ins and outs of protecting herself, along with equipping her with the ability to effectively wield concealed weaponry. If it ever came down to neutralizing one of her admirers, she did so without flaw and the authorities were none the wiser of her crimes. Still, someone as good as she could not remain unnoticed for long. Rival syndicates and guilds longed for her stealth and unassuming prowess. She once again became an object of desire, her body and ability in high demand. When it was realized that she could not be coaxed out of Andrix' employ, a hefty bounty was placed on her. One she did not find out about until it was too late....
