The Imperial Gardens of the Imperial Palace of Toshi Ranbo had peafowls for leisure of those who walked there. They were a study in contrast-tailored, with a stream winding throughout, feeding a great koi pond in whose midst rose a large pagoda-like gazebo. A statue to Benten, Fortune of the Romantic Love, was displayed there.
