As he complains to SpongeBob about this, and Gary bites him. Squidward asks SpongeBob if Gary has had all of his shots, and he says that he has, until Patrick comes along and asks him if Gary has been vaccinated for "Mad Snail Disease", a disease that turns anyone bitten by the afflicted into a zombie, which SpongeBob says he has not. Suddenly, Gary runs off and starts to bite everybody in sight.

Brian becomes ill and is taken to the vet. His problem is determined to be due to his drinking and is given medicine. When Peter tries to give Brian his medicine which turns out to be a suppository, Brian draws the line and refuses, Peter tries to at first out smart him, and then use force which results in Peter being bitten. His fear of Brian causes him to become insufferable, until his cowering of Peter forces Lois to have him sent to obedience school. The school is run like a boot camp and Brian is soon brought to heel.
Brian returns home completely submissive, to everyone's surprise, including Peter's friends. When Brian bring home a drunken Peter, his proposed stunt of peeing in Meg's bed horrified Brian with the thought of being a bad dog, leaving Peter to drunkenly realize that he misses his old friend. He takes his observations to Lois who dismisses his concerns since he was bitten, giving him the idea to stick his finger in Brian's rectum which returns Brian to his normal self. They agree to let things return to normal as they agree to go pee in Meg's bed together.

Meanwhile, Neil cozies up to Chris reportedly due to their both being school exiles. Neil comes over to visit and gets invited to help Meg with her homework. Later at school, Chris finds that Neil is still hanging out with Meg instead of him and confronts him, where he admits that it was his plan all along, leaving Chris feeling betrayed. Neil and Meg go to the movies, but when they start to kiss, Meg's face transforms into Chris, leaving Neil feeling guilty. He shows up outside of Chris' bedroom, begging to be friends again as Meg chews him out for dropping her when she gave him a chance. Chris agrees to be his friend again.
