The Disimians were an extinct race of ornithoids native to the forested Outer Rim planet Disim. They were discovered by Republic scientists and they were genetically similar to the Irians of Iri. They attempted to breed the unique species, in hopes of creating a new form of life. The experiment was a success, but the resulting species - known as the Tarong - was much more intelligent and eventually overran the two parent species. The Disimians were no longer exist in the Epidimi system.
