| - Maker is a vampire who has turned a human into a vampire. On the HBO original series True Blood, the vampire offspring, or progeny, is bound to his or her maker until he or she is formally released. The process of becoming a maker is called "making" or "turning."
- A Maker is a vampire who turns a human into a vampire. In "The Southern Vampire Mysteries", a "Maker" is known to make as many vampires as he/she desires. The new vampire (also known as a progeny) must then stay with their maker until they are released and know enough about the vampire laws. Progeny must obey to his/her maker(they have no choice). According to the vampire law,if progeny is killed by other vampire, the maker must be paid for the loss.

- Maker is a term referring to the being that created the fal'Cie in Final Fantasy XIII and is said to have created the worlds of Gran Pulse and Cocoon. The Maker departed the world, beginning the events leading up to Final Fantasy XIII. Hallowed Pulse is the name given to the Maker in certain Analects discovered on Gran Pulse, and the world is named after it.
