| - The United Alliance merger crisis occurred on November 10, 2008 when tuorps of the Second United Alliance announced that their leader, Jack the Great, was removed from the alliance for not swearing an oath and that a merger with the Mostly Harmless Alliance, UA's protectors, was called off. The announcement was signed by Tuorps, Jack Diorno (Vice President of UA), and JuilusCesardos (Minister of War of UA). The Mostly Harmless Alliance announced several minutes later that these three members of the UA were sentenced to zero infrastructure, by request of Jack the Great, for attempting to coup him. The three members maintained their stance that it was not a coup and that they were taking all official charter procedures to remove Jack the Great from the alliance, though they had made their announcement a little too early. Jack the Great responded by announcing shortly thereafter that UA was to be disbanded due to their actions and as he was still the official leader of the alliance. The next day the MHA announced that after lenghty discussions the ZI sentence was to be lifted and that those who wish to call the UA home may continue to do so although their protectorate agreement was now canceled.
