DATE: DAY 15, MONTH 5, 17BBY [Source] One more rotation. I was deep in thought. Well, how could I NOT be. My batallion had been on Rondai-2 for 2 whole moons. I had only one more day on that wretched planet. But I would be here longer than I thought. I had my hand on my helment, thich was sitting the table. I was looking straight up at the lights when I suddenly saw my General, General Tresh, coming towards me. "Stand up, soldier!" He spoke in his low, deep voice. He was a Transdoshan, but he was the nicest Transdoshan I had ever seen. That still doesn't mean he was mean... which he was.

He was a Transdoshan, but he was the nicest Transdoshan I had ever seen. That still doesn't mean he was mean... which he was. "Sir!" I was standing at full attention, after falling off my helment like an idiot. "We're going to be here for a while." I sighed. The last thing I wanted was to stay here ANY longer. "The CIS has brought in reinforcements. Just in the last day. Looks like you're gonna be a little sad for a few days... or weeks..." "Weeks?!" "Yes. They have enough forces to last a whole moon!" He turned to the other clones in the mess hall. "Everyone get your armor and guns shined up! We go to battle in 1 hour." I closed my diary, and went to polish my armor. The worst jerk-for-a-clone, Jad, came over to where I was. He saw my diary in my hand. Great, I thought. "Hey there, Bman," Jad said, in his shadowy voice. "What's that you have? Your diary? You nerd." "I'm not a nerd!" I said, matter-of-factly. "Yeah, right." He gave out a laugh. He waved to his possy to go. Oh! I just want to- I was interrupted by General Tresh again. "Come on, Bman." He motioned for me to follow him. "Yes, sir?" We walked into a room with armor and guns on all the walls. "Here." He handed me a large rotary gun. "You're taking this into battle. Take very, very good care of it." I grabbed it very carefully. "I won't let you down!" I saluted to him; he saluted back. I walked back to the barracks, being careful with the gun. When I came back in, Jad looked very jealous. Look who's sittin' pretty now, I thought. "Now what is that?" Jad said, puzzled. Well, more like jealous-puzzled. "Jealous much?" I said. "Jealous not!" He stormed off, going to his bunk. I went to polish my armor and my new, shiny gun. One hour later, we were out on the battle field. I had my new gun. "Say hello to my little friend!" I fired rapidly, taking out hundreds- no thousands of B1, B2, and Destoyer droids. Multiple hits. I was having fun. Suddenly, the clone next to me fell down. I've gotta step up my game. I advanced forward, moving with my fellow clones. Jad went forward, trying to beat me. But he knew he couldn't. "Watch out, diary boy!" I looked forward, and I saw a Droideka rolling straight for me. I dodged, right in time. Then I saw one rolling for Jad. "Look out, jerk." I said, trying to get his attention. "Yeah ri-" He smacked straight into the front of it. I felt so bad, I went over to help him. That was a bad decision. I got hit right in the side with a blaster bolt. I fell down. I can't leave him there, I thought. I used all my strength to crawl over to Jad. He can't stay there and die! I finally got over to him, right as a dropship came over to our location to pick us up. "Jump in!" the medic yelled at the top of his voice. When I dragged Jad into the carrier, they closed the door. The medic immediately came over to us, medical tools in hand. He came over to me first. "No." I winced. "Him first." "Ok." He went over and examined Jad's wounds. He used some salve to heal the infection. Then he closed it up with some stitches. Then he came over to me. I already had my helmet off. He took off my chest armor. "Hmm..." He was puzzeled at my wounds. "The shrapnel went pretty deep." He looked deeper at it. "We'll have to take you to the base for surgery. You were lucky you didn't die." Wow, I thought. Lucky. That's not how it seems. Jad walked in the recovery room. He had my diary in his hand. Great. He's gonna pick on me again. "You know," he said as he walked over to my bed. "You're one lucky kid. You've got potential." He handed me my diary. "I see you lost this." I turned to the last page I was on; page 19. Jad left the room, content, I guess. I was amazed, and puzzled at the same time. Written in the middle of the page, in big, black letters, were the words:
