  • His Imperial and Most Illustrious Lutheran Majesty, Defender of the Faith, by the Grace of God, Emperor Ferdinand I of Hulstria (b. March 4, 2485-November 10, 2559) was reigning Emperor of Hulstria from 2551 to 2559 and during the period of Dual Monarchy, was the last heir to the Hulstrian Throne. Following the fall of the Dual Monarchy, he fled with the rest of his family to Luthor. Following the death of his father, Emperor Rudolph IV of Hulstria, Ferdinand became the head of the House of Rothingren-Traugott; while in Luthor he continued his father's quest to be crowned Holy Luthori Emperor as was his hereditary and legal right under Luthori Law. In 2551, the KHP with the aid of the other parties in the Diet, reestablished the Monarchy in Hulstria, following the Congress of Kien. Ferdinand was coronated formally as the Emperor of Hulstria and once again hope arose that the Luthori and Hulstrian crowns would be united. However it never came to pass in Ferdinand's life time and reign as Emperor. Luthori grew closer to Alduria having married Mary, Queen of the Luthori, the daughter of William III, Holy Luthori Emperor the former Imperial Viceroy who was then crowned Holy Luthori Emperor, to Philippe II of Alduria. Ferdinand I passed away on November 10, 2559, at the age of 74; his son Klemens, Crown Prince of Hulstria, ascended to the Hulstrian throne, and took part in the War of Luthori Succession. Ferdinand I during his reign saw through the creation of the House of Flieder as a new line of the Rothingren-Traugotts, bestowing the title to Kyril von Flieder following his baptism into the Terran Lutheran Church by Ferdinand I. Kyril was the son of Ferdinand's daughter, Archduchess Augusta, and Konsort III, Duke of Strauss. Augusta and Konsort would go on to have two children; Kyril and Magdalena. Archduchess Magdalena would go onto marry Andrew I of Pontesi. Notable monarchs, mainly from the House of OrlĂ©ans-Vasser, such as Josephine II of Rildanor, Alexandre I of Rildanor, Albert III of Kanjor, and Louise-Elisabeth of Kanjor can trace their ancestry back to Ferdinand I of Hulstria and Archduchess Augusta and the Duke of Strauss.
