Frank Springer (born December 6, 1929) is a comic artist who worked on the Marvel Star Wars comic series. In 1955 Springer began in the comics industry as an assistant to George Wunder on Terry and the Pirates. During the 1960s he worked mainly for Dell Publishing on titles such as Charlie Chan and Brain Boy. The following decades through the 1980s Springer worked for a number of publishers including DC Comics and Marvel Comics on titles such as Spider-Man and Transformers.

He is probably best known for his contributions to the National Lampoon, as well as his many jobs for both Marvel Comics and DC. He penciled the first four issues of the Marvel Transformers series. He also drew the spin-off Headmasters limited-series, and had a return engagement in the main book, when he drew issue #44, "The Cosmic Carnival!" He has now died at his home at the age of 79, of prostate cancer.

He freelanced at DC, working on Batman (a 1967 Catwoman tale, and later a 1970s Riddler story), the debut "Dial H for Hero" story, and two issues of Tarzan. In the eighties, he drew multiple Secret Six stories for Action Comics (1988-1989) and issues of Green Arrow, and inked on Superman at various times.
