At Mill Cottage shortly afterwards, Nicola is furious with Jimmy as he arranges to visit Chas. Meanwhile, Steve arrives at The Woolpack, wanting to talk to Bernice. She is determined to make the best of a difficult situation as Val and Rodney exchange glances. It's awkward as the four of them sit together and Bernice's heart sinks when Steve wants to talk to her in private. The pair raise their voices and Bernice tells Steve to go back to his wife. Rodney comforts his heartbroken daughter and Val assures her that she's better off without him. Bernice later visits Nicola, who is exasperated as Bernice insists that she loves Steve and won't give up on him. Nicola tries to talk sense into her sister, but she refuses to listen and storms out, leaving her mobile. A determined Nicola calls Steve's wife. Elsewhere, Gennie pops home to see Molly and tells Nikhil about her first sale, while Val is unimpressed that Kerry has been plying Amy with drink on Kyle's first birthday.
