When Zoë needs to break into the basement of the Victory Hotel, she manages to retrieve the axe hanging in the backyard shed. Getting past this point requires some dogged sneaking. Zoë can chop through the boards across the basement window, but then the axe blade breaks off (clearly 23rd century axes are vastly inferior). She can then use the handle to make a primitive torch, allowing her to explore the basement. Obtained from the Victory Hotel's garden shed.
