| - Mrs. Golden is a character in the novel Final Destination: Dead Reckoning. She is the mother of Jessica Golden and is one of the casualties of the Club Kitty accident. Mrs. Golden is neglectful and abrasive, clearly not the type of person who would be capable of taking care of Jess, or the person who would be married to Mr. Golden. Mrs. Golden usually yelled at her daughter during her adolescent years, at times screaming at her to wake up and get out of bed. After her daughter begged her a countless amount of times to see her perform, Mrs. Golden decided to go see The Vipers perform on-stage, the band that Jess leads. While there, her daughter has a premonition of the club collapsing and killing everyone inside. Jess freaks out and is hauled outside by the bouncer, while several others stay inside. A few minutes later, the club collapses. Later in the story, Jess has a dream inside Charlie's bathtub, where she finds her mother sobbing and wearing a black dress, passing Jess as though she wasn't even there. About a week later, while in a fight with hoodlums who took Macy hostage, Jess is knocked out and sees all the victims of the accident on gurneys, one of whom turns out to be her mother. It wasn't fully confirmed until a month later, after Jess, Jamie and Eric Prescott cheated Death again, that Mrs. Golden did die, and Jess planned on going to her funeral.
* On her way to the club Jessica Golden spots a homeless man nearby, doing his own spastic dance. Jess and the other survivors of the collapse would have several more encounters with this vagrant, who is implicated as having foreseen the club collapse along with Jess.
* While waiting in line to get into the club Jess notices the "Enter Here" sign above the entrance has been defaced, with "Abandon fate, all ye who" having been scrawled on top of the sign.
* Inside the club Jess is approached by Ben, who comments on how lame the club is. Jess agrees, responding by saying that taking TNT to the place and completely demolishing it would be an improvement.
